In Germany any house that has network cabling in the walls uses Cat7 cables. But we build our homes out of stone and / or reinforced concrete as well. So I guess different philosophies when building....

Regular Cat6 would have been my go to in this situation. Some glow rods and string would take all the fun of climbing out of this.
